Silhouetted against the sky, the South Stack Lighthouse offers jaw-dropping panoramic views. Built in the early 1800s to warn ships off the rugged and dangerous rocks below, it’s said to be haunted, with wails and moans heard regularly as visitors climb up to the very top. How do I access the lighthouse?
Access is via a RADAR key. A spare key is kept at the lighthouse admissions desk. Level access from main car park to the lighthouse and café. Most of the paths and trails in the coastal park and along The Leas are level, many are hard surfaced The lighthouse tower is accessed by a steep spiral staircase.

How do I get to Marsden lighthouse?
The lighthouse tower is accessed by a steep spiral staircase. There are steep steps down to Marsden Bay next to the Marsden Grotto public house and slightly less steep steps further north (Redwell steps) on A183 coast road. The car park is open 9am - 8pm daily (closes 6pm November - March).

There are walls yes, so you can't fall off the steps onto the cliff if that's what you mean. It's a very steep walk though

Is 2 hours long enough for a visit to the Lighthouse. We need to be in Beaumaris for 12:30pm. I’m thinking if we get there for 9:30am and leave at 11:30am we will have enough time to take a look round but I’m not sure?

No. The road up to the Lighthouse is single track. There are three parking areas. The first is quite small and was full when we arrived. The second is next to the cafe and was also full of cars, except for a few disabled bay spaces. The final area is at top overlooking the lighthouse, there was a camper van parked there but it was half the size of yours and to be honest this car park was pretty full when we came back. You could also have problems with turning around. All car parks have charges.
